Atlanta summers run hot. Winters still get cold.
S.T.’s Mechanical HVAC keeps the heating and cooling in Atlanta homes doing its job both halves of the year.

Atlanta’s year, by which system is working hardest
Average daily high for each month. Blue months lean on your air conditioner, orange months on your heat. The two mild months in between are the easiest time to get a system looked at, before it’s carrying a full load.
Rounded average daily highs, NOAA 1991–2020 climate normals for Atlanta.
April: before the AC carries summer
A cooling check before May means a weak capacitor or low refrigerant shows up on a 73° day, not the first 90° one.
October: before the heat comes on
Firing the furnace or heat pump once in fall shows whether it lights, runs and heats cleanly before November’s cold nights.
What’s going on at your house?
Start from what you’re noticing. Tell us that when you call and we’ll take it from there.
- AC
The air is running but not cold
Often refrigerant, a failing capacitor, or a dirty coil. Cooling repair.
- HEAT
The heat won’t come on
Ignition, thermostat, or a safety switch shutting it down. Heating repair.
- AIR
Some rooms never get comfortable
Usually airflow: ductwork, returns, or a system sized wrong for the house.
- SYS
It’s old and the repairs keep coming
Time to talk through repair versus replacement, honestly.
Before you call
Three things that make the first conversation faster.
Note what it’s doing
No air, warm air, a noise, a smell, short cycling. When did it start?
Check the thermostat and breaker
Fresh batteries, correct mode, and the HVAC breaker not tripped. Sometimes that’s the whole fix.
Find the label on the unit
The brand and model number on the outdoor unit or furnace tell us what we’re working on.
